The Auckland Wine ClubThe Auckland Wine Club was established in the mid 1980's by a group of wine lovers. Our purpose was to create the ability to access wines that were aged to near perfect drinkability.
So many wines consumed today would benefit from several years careful cellaring. It seems so wrong to drink a wine that needs time to mature and develop those wonderful qualities that only come from time in the bottle.
We set about sourcing wines initially from both sides of the Tasman, and then from Italy and France. We tried to ensure the wines we obtained came only from good vintages and had the characteristics and potential to age gracefully. The Club now has an extensive cellar of wines and vintage posts (more than 4,000 bottles) which dates back to the early 1970's.
The Auckland Wine Club has members who often like to purchase older wines. If you have wines that have been well cellared and you wish to sell without paying high commissions through auction houses, please contact us for a price. Whether it's one bottle of Grange Hermitage or a case of Château Lafite, or even an entire cellar, we would like to hear from you and you can contact us below.
